Key responsibilities
- Manage credit and fraud risks with the use of portfolio analytics, data mining and modelling techniques
- Execute regular and ad-hoc portfolio monitoring reports and analysis
- Define, argument and implement risk optimization measures and action steps
- Assess the credit and fraud relevant risks, develop adequate controls and control mechanisms
- Develop, monitor and maintain credit risk models (underwriting, provisioning, collection)
- Initiate innovative risk assessment solutions
- Be the go-to person for any credit risk assessment related topic
- Manage and coach team members when needed
- Collaborate closely with the data science team and be part of data science related projects
- Develop the Acredius brand by engaging in internal Proof of Concept, conferences, meetings, blogs and other external public engagements
- Assist the management in the recruitment of internal and external scientific and technical resources and track skills development, participate in job fairs and build a strong pipeline of potential candidates
Candidate profile
- University degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics/mathematics/physics) or data science
- Preferably 3+ years of experience in risk management
- Proficiency in data science tools
- Credit risk modelling practical experience is a plus
- Experience with valuation and risk models
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to present complicated subjects in a simpler manner to different audiences, ability to share knowledge within a team
- Entrepreneurial spirit and startup mindset. Humility and engagement are strong values
