Summary of Job Description:
Lead the NWA Demand & Logistic function across the following countries: Algeria, Tunisia & Morocco in collaboration with VLOG customer service centers, NWA Finance and commercial teams. Ensure the accurate forecast of products across countries and therapeutic area and timely delivery of shipments to avoid stock out situations. Manage a team of one member supporting the function. Support the FD in managing the relationship with distributors and in managing NWA overall sales vs. approved benchmarks.
Major Responsibilities:
Demand Management & demand statements:
• Act as main contact to GM, FD and Commercial leads for all in-market and to-market sales reporting, sales analysis and commentary on variances vs. benchmarks.
• Ensure Internal Demand Statements files are maintained on a monthly basis. Lead Demand reviews with the affiliate concerned parties and come up with a sales proposal on a rolling 28 months forecast to GM and FD for their reviews and approval.
• Conduct and Lead S&OP meeting and follow-up on action points to ensure completion.
• Monitor stock levels of customer and distributors & major government hospitals and ensure internal consumptions and ending stocks are monitored closely to avoid out of stock and/or overstocking situations. Achieve Target DOH by country and product as specified by FD. Highlight potential expiries for the coming 9 months to FD and VLOG and identify an action plan along with the commercial teams to minimize expiry exposure.
• Monitor stock levels at VLOG warehouse and report any potential expiries to FD and VLOG and identify an action plan to minimize the expiry exposure.
• Monitor Billing Prices and ensure no price is used in the systems unless Market Access and Finance approvals were secured.
• Manage the weekly & monthly publishing of the Approved Demand Statement on company approved systems. Perform Cognos reporting of 24 months rolling sales forecast on a weekly basis. Ensure that the calendarization of forecast is aligned with countries’ approved credit limits.
• Ensure full collaboration with Regulatory Affairs department and Labelling team to achieve smooth transition from old to new labels with no stock out period faced across countries.
• Manage backorder reporting
• Achieve LAG 1 and LAG 3 Forecast Accuracy for both In-Market-Sales and To-Market-Sales.
• Manage all Sales and Stock reporting to region and Area offices.
Logistic Management:
• Follow-up on Private and tender shipments and ensure deliveries are aligned with the approved demand statement. Ensure that the shipment documentation is aligned with countries legal requirements.
• Obtain Official order from Distributors and align with VLOG customer service team on order entry completion
• Manage all shipment related communication with distributors, government Importation Bodies across NWA countries including but not limited to: Tender offers/bids; Contracts follow-ups, follow-up on LCs and bid bonds etc.
• Manage all shipment related issues faced and identify solutions to minimize shipments disruptions across countries.
• Manage RCMAs as needed.
• Meet with Distributor and Key Importation bodies across NWA as and when needed.
Education/Experience Required:
· Graduate or master’s degree in Business specializing in either Finance.
· Minimum total work experience of 3 years+ in an operational sale orientated environment
· Good Knowledge of Local Import laws across NWA countries
· Experience working with shared customer service & distributors and within an international company is highly valuable
Essential Skills & Abilities:
· Systems experience across SAP, COGNOS & TM1 preferred
· The successful candidate should have a strong work ethic, problem solving, capable of multi-tasking, excellent communication/interpersonal skills, collaborative with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
· Individual must be self-motivated with great follow-up skills and be able to work independently.
· The candidate needs to be commercially minded with the ability to understand complex markets and products.
· The candidate needs to have prior experience of working with commercial organizations, preferably within a multinational Pharmaceutical company.
