                  IT Systems Engineer

Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science

  • Knowledge of SSO solutions, systems integration, MS Federation Service

  • Strong ability to write custom scripts, JavaScript/jQuery HTML with knowledge of SQL and Angular an advantage

  • Working knowledge of Mac iOS, Windows 10, Chrome and Windows 2019 Server

  • Knowledge of Wan and LAN technologies

  • General understanding of Apple hardware, Windows laptops and if possible, Chromebooks and MS 2019 Server

  • Experience with or knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, MS active directory, MS server virtualization, HTTP(S) traffic, Cisco equipment, firewalls and the IP protocol.

  • Experience or knowledge of Google Suite and Office 365

  • Ability to speak, read and write English and French.  Ability to speak Arabic.

Preferred Qualifications and skills:

  • A good knowledge of Cisco system administration

  • Professional certifications

  • Knowledge of Untangle hardware-based firewall

Job Description : 

The American Cooperative School of Tunis is currently seeking a highly-skilled systems engineer to provide the business knowledge and technical expertise to implement strategies, evaluate products, and build upon an infrastructure that supports the ever-changing needs of a busy and growing K-12 school. In this role, you will work with systems, designing, developing, and integrating them. If you’re reliable in delivering mission-critical infrastructure with an eye toward optimization and security, we’d like to hear from you.

Objective:

  • Promote system integration thereby reducing the requirement for human interaction

  • Work with the current IT team to leverage the technology currently installed at ACST.

  • Manage and monitor infrastructure and system installations, including configurations, testing, and maintenance

  • Proactively identify potential issues, and implement solutions

  • Engage with upper management with reports on project status, activities, and achievements

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Standardize and automate processes and monitoring using scripting technology

  • Administration and optimization of hosts and servers to ensure high availability and appropriate resource management

  • Install and configure systems, clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staff

  • Any other duties assigned by the Director or IT Manager
