           Marketing and Communications Consultant 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Marketing and/or Communications 

  • Experience working in a school or non profit organization

Key Competencies

  • Ability to speak, read and write English and French fluently is essential. 

  • Ability to speak and understand Arabic is preferred, but not essential.

  • Excellent people skills – is a strong communicator, an active listener, and is a collaborative, friendly and outgoing.

  • Maintains a professional persona – as the marketing official from ACST, must exhibit our core values and promote our school in a positive light at all times.

  • Strong customer focus, flexibility, patience and responsiveness to unforeseen challenges. 

  • Ability to work independently – is a self-starter and can manage projects and deadlines without reminders or delays. 

  • Ability to understand and explain the attributes and benefits of an American, international school education. 

  • It is expected that the Marketing and Communications Consultant will:

  • Monitor and enhance ACST’s visual identity. This includes the use of our school’s logos and brand guidelines, our social media presence, our website, and our internal documentation. 

  • Create and implement a plan to promote ACST’s reputation and status as the premier and oldest English-language international school in Tunis.  This includes celebrating and promoting our school’s successes and creating opportunities for visibility within our desired market. 

  • Support major events involving ACST – these include, but are not limited to, our International Day, Spring Fair, and annual gala.  This involves attracting and securing sponsors, and promoting and working with volunteers to ensure that the events run smoothly and are successful.

  • Work with the Director to build and sustain positive relationships with key opinion leaders in the international and Tunisian communities. 

  • Engage our alumni (including former students, teachers and parents) in order to build a practice of giving back in order to build an endowment fund which would support our scholarship costs. . 

  • Ensure that school signage and displays are clear, eye-catching and up-to-date. 

  • Liaise with our contracted marketing firm to ensure regular professional photography on campus in order to highlight the unique value added benefits of an ACST education.  Ensure the photos and videos are archived and shared for community access and use. 

  • Work with our Admissions Officer to track and understand enrolment and demographic trends. 

  • Work with our Webmaster and office assistants to monitor and steamline school communications. 

  • Work with the Director and Theater Manager to schedule and manage high profile community and outreach events at Theater 1797 (movie screenings, concerts, etc.)

Hours: 20 Hours / week
