  •  PROJECT BACKGROUND
  • The purpose of the USAID/Fiscal Reform for a Strong Tunisia (FIRST) project is to provide technical assistance and capacity building to key Government of Tunisia (GoT) Institutions, particularly the Ministry of Finance (MOF), to strengthen the fiscal foundations for sustainable and inclusive growth. FIRST will help the MOF develop the capacity to formulate sound, predictable, and fair revenue policies.

    It will also support the MOF in modernizing tax administration and enhancing its ability to effectively, efficiently, and transparently carry out its revenue collection mandate. Lastly, it will strategically assist the GoT to use targeted analysis to advance key policy reforms that enhance efficiencies in government administration, improve the targeting of social spending, and increase fiscal space for priority investment and service delivery.

    The Events Coordinator will be responsible for the logistical support of the trainings of our subcontractor PMGI.

    The Events Coordinator will be also responsible for travel, hotel accommodation and transportation between regions, of all the attendees of these trainings.

    He/She should support the official photo and video covering for these trainings as well as support Operations team on coordinating with communication component on reporting.

  • POSITION DESCRIPTION:
    • Arrange the travel, the hotel accommodations and lodging of the attendees for all PMGI trainings.
    • Ensure the transportation of the attendees and coordinate with the transportations’ company selected for that.
    • Participate in the support of the operations procurement and logistics departments on the follow-up of PMGI events operation support from the preparation phase to the close and reporting phase.
    • Assist in the set-up of PMGI training,
    • Support onsite attendance to PMGI Trainings and all events planned with this subcontractor and needed preparations; including follow-up of USAID visibility materials.
    • Act as a photographer by covering photography and video reporting of all training’s events of PMGI.
    • Coordinate with project communication team on the reporting of project picture and any ad-hoc support needed for the project reporting.
    • Assist the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Manager for data collection related to these trainings.

    Exigences de l'emploi

    • Professional fluency in written and spoken English and French.
    • Ability to provide high-quality consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.
    • Minimum one year of experience as an event Coordinator.
    • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills (e.g., tact, diplomacy and patience) in the context of dealing with expatriate and local staff members, as well as with USAID representatives and both international and local partners.
    • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation in handling all assigned tasks.
    • Previous USAID or another international donor experience preferred.
    • Photography and video reporting basic knowledge.
    • Bachelor’s degree on economic or politics related matters preferred.
    • Advanced computer skills.
    • Candidate must be able to operate across the country.
    • Duration of assignment is 6 months
