Programme officer
The job tasks and responsibilities:
– Project cycle management including administration, monitoring and follow-up on partner narrative and financial reports
– Participation in programme implementation meetings with partner organizations
– Assist Head of Office in drafting letters, minutes, reports
– Ensuring coordination and implementation of different partner programmes
– Provide technical assistance to partner organisations in development of relevant pro-gramme activities in accordance with expected outcomes of the DAPP programme
– Ensure alignment between programme objectives, activities and budgets
– Participation in program activities as resource person
– Identify relevant news and providing input to articles and social media
– Contribute to the development of new labour market development programmes and ap-plications to the donor(s)
– Contribute to reports to the donor(s)
Eligibility Criteria:
– Minimum 2 years of professional experience in working with labour market issues.
– Experiences with implementation and administration of development projects including monitoring, preparation of project applications, evaluation reports and other relevant pro-ject documents.
– Excellent communication skills as well as command of French and Arabic fluently (written and orally) and ability to use English as working language.
– User experience and knowledge in handling social media platforms and good IT user skills
– Positive attitude and interest in trade unions and their values in development
– Ability to work in multicultural environment.
– Relevant educational qualification.
– Flexibility to take responsibility for different tasks
– Knowledge about issues of trade union work and labour market as social dialogue, collec-tive bargaining agreements, employment policies and labour laws, and experience in working in political organizations is an advantage.
– Extensive knowledge about the political, economic, and cultural conditions in the MENA region is an advantage.
– Experience with adult education will be an advantage.
– Personal competences:
o Flexibility in assignments, working hours and days in special occasions when neces-sary.
o Energetic, initiative, working in teams and can handle and prioritize heavy work-load.
DTDA offers:

The position also gives you vast possibilities for developing your own compe-tences. It may also be required to travel in the region.
Terms of employment
You will work in Tunis, Tunisia. Salary is determined based on competences in relation to the level in Tunisia. Employment will be for the period of 1/9 or 1/10/2020 to 31/12/22, with possibili-ties of extending the contract if a new program period is approved.

The Danish Trade Union Agency is the Danish trade union movements professional development organisa-tion. The objectives of the DTDA is to promote democracy, worker’s rights, occupational health and safety and poverty reduction which we do by implementing projects that strengthens the labour market in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The DTDA programme work in the MENA region is done through a consortium in cooperation with the Danish Employers federation, DI, (Danish Industry) to make use of the long Danish labour market experience in achieving strong progress and a stable labour market through social dialogue.
