MISSIONS :
- Provide EMI/EMC technical guidance & support to EV propulsion systems developments, and ensure implementation of best practices and standards;
- Design, analyze, and implement fundamental concepts in circuit design, RF, and EMI/EMC during the concept development and prototype design, integration, and testof EV propulsion systems or components of such systems, conduct testing and analyze re- sults;
- Review and tailor EMI/EMC requirements to meet upcoming challenges in technology and materials;
- Document electrical architecture solutions, topologies, and configurations to optimize performance for both existing and new projects, perform electrical engineering analyses for systems and circuits, document findings, and communicate results;
- Develop and execute the test plans necessary for the validation of technical solutions,on the test bench and on the different vehicles, while taking into account the norms and standards established;
- Collaborate with suppliers in the development of software and electronic components as well as in determining deadlines and standards to be respected;
- Contribute to setting performance criteria, developing validation plans for each system and ensuring plan execution;
- Be the technical EMC expert, leading a team to deep dive, root cause, and resolve issues from first principles;
- Work closely with product design, quality, and manufacturing engineers, and the production team to ensure that the system supports all critical objectives.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- You have the ability to work in a project start-up environment with objectives that are in the process of being defined and in a multidisciplinary team;
- You detain a Bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical experience
- You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
- You demonstrate strong interest in driving and designing recreational & performance vehicles;
- You have acquired experience in computer-aided EMI/EMC testing and data reduction, are familiar with related softwares and standards and can mitigate related issues in design;
- You possess experience from vehicle level down to component level design practices;
- You have experience working with metallic and non-metallic structures;
- You have working knowledge in English and French;
- You have the ability to analyze and solve complex problems, creativity and ability to innovate;
- You are comfortable in an environment where technical solutions are not known, where the path is not traced and with the use of predictive analysis methods.
- You know the PCB design, layer stack up with Altium designer and have experience with Schematic capture and PCB design tools.
- Hands on experience and DFX
- Excellent lab skills and problem solving techniques.
- Knowledge of safety agency requirements and how to design for compliance is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills among teams and with vendors
- Self-motivated and disciplined.
