Finance Officer – Tunisia

Job Summary:
The Finance Officer (FO) is responsible for the day to day administrative and financial activities of the field sites and make sure that payments and supporting documents to the expenses are in compliance with donor requirement and IMC’s Financial policy and procedures

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Preparing the payment vouchers and ensure that supporting documents are attached and in accordance with donor requirement s and IMC’s procurement policy and Finance policy and procedures.
Updating the payment status report with the poof of payment voucher reference.
Maintenance of books of account and CTJ’s BTJS of Tunis site.
Entering daily transactions to Cost Point
Coding financial transactions to appropriate account code and REF2 codes
Issuing and reviewing of checks and bank letters
Paying utilities bills of Tunis office.
Ensure that vouchers have all necessary financial support documents attached, properly coded and verified before effecting payment.
Conduct cash counts and ensure that these are documented as required.
Ability to communicate/ Visit the bank for financial needs
Administrative tasks in day to day activities in the field.
Perform the monthly scanning of vouchers to be included in monthly scanning for submission to IA Split Croatia
Updating movement board in Tunis.
Booking of international medical corps staff’s fight tickets when needed as well as the hotel accommodation.
In accordance with IMC policies, manage the Tunis guesthouse, insuring that supplies are stocked, linens and kitchen accessories remain stocked and routine maintenance is performed
Perform other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent Excel proficiency is a must.
Administrative and accounting experience essential
Strong English reading and writing skills essential.
Good organizational ability and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.

Other Comments:
Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.
Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time by supervisors.
Compliance & Ethics: Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.
