FHI 360 is implementing a US government-funded economic development project in Tunisia called Collaborative Action for Handicraft Exports (ACEA). The project is in partnership with the National Office of Handicrafts (ONAT). The goal of this project is to foster a more competitive handicraft value chain in Tunisia, leading to long-term sustainable economic growth, increased exports, and increased employment. The primary focus will be on upgrading two handicraft regional clusters with high export potential: beginning with essential oils and continuing with related artisanal products in NW Tunisia, and olive wood products produced by artisans in Sidi Bouzid, linked with exporting SMEs in coastal cities. In order to support its M&E activities, the project is seeking to hire an intern who will participate in the data collection and entry as well as insuring the implementation of a documentation and tracking systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the M&E Officer, the intern will be fulfilling the following tasks:
· Collect the needed information for the M&E database
· Enter the collected data and organize it according to the guidelines
· Assist the M&E officer in the daily tasks relative to documentation and tracking
· May be required to perform tasks outside of Tunis (other Tunisian regions)
· Assist the M&E Officer in defining strategies to calculating and evaluating the different indicators of the project.
· Assist the M&E Officer in creating a communication system with the ACEA team to ensure a valid information flow between the M&E and the different departments.
· Assist the M&E Office in identifying the different rising needs of the project related to M&E.
Criteria of illegibility:
· Undergraduate or graduate level
· Background and knowledge in the areas of business analytics, business administration, engineering or a related field is required.
· 0 to 1 year of professional experience, including internships, in related fields
· Fluency in French and English is required.
· Strong analytical skills with demonstrated mastery of Excel and other Office applications.
· Strong skills to plan, organize, and manage resources for successful tracking and documentation.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
· Survey implementation and reporting experience is preferred.
