PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
The SIOP (Sales Inventory and Operations Planning) officer is responsible for overseeing the execution of the SIOP process to ensure the alignment of demand and supply plans. In this role, the incumbent is responsible for creating and maintaining schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and working collaboratively with production, sales, and purchasing teams to ensure that orders are shipped on-time, and inventory levels are optimized. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform business process analysis by monitoring key KPIs and utilize basic and advanced analytical tools to identify and address areas of risk. This includes the monitoring of demand and capacities of internal production lines.
- Schedules production based on the ERP system using various shop floor systems. Schedules based on customer orders and/or Kanban requirements to satisfy the production plan and customer schedules
- Proactively work with plant operations on constrain demand plans that assist in ensuring external customer demand requirements are being met.
- Lead and facilitate the process of developing mitigation actions to meet customer’s demand. Lead the weekly cross functional meetings.
- Participate in the implementation of processes that can drive improvements in the area of supplier and customer delivery performance.
- Provide timely reports, making recommendations for necessary changes and implement improvements. Automate where possible.
- Develop and maintain standards, policies, and procedures surrounding procurement data collection, analysis, and reporting.

· In depth knowledge of commercial and civil aerospace customers, component products, complex assemblies and programs.
· Strong knowledge of company’s capabilities, manufacturing processes, engineering, products, pricing/quoting systems, quality systems and other support services throughout the organization.
· Excellent presentation, written, verbal and communication skills. Able to interact and work with employees and customers at all levels within the various organizations.
· Proven ability to lead associates in the completion of tasks and personal development.
· Strong understanding and competency in making tough but fair decisions in the best interest of the company.
· Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and an aggressive take charge individual who is looking for a challenge and who is not afraid to take risks.
· Must be proactive and believe in keeping in close contact with the customers.
· Computer skills that include a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access).
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business Administration or related field. A Master’s degree in engineering or a business discipline preferred. Ten years or more in a senior marketing and/ or sales role in an aerospace manufacturing company.
