We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Architect to design, develop, implement, and maintain our enterprise database infrastructure.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient storage, retrieval, and management of our growing data volume.
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, and with your IT peers, to understand data needs and translate them into robust and scalable database architectures.
Main Activities:
Business Requirements: understand the data managements needs and requirements
Strategy and solutions: select and implement appropriate database platforms based on specific data requirements and performance needs.
Performance: monitor and optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and normalization techniques.
Security: implement robust data security measures to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and access control.
Design robust and scalable database systems and advice on the data integration strategies; develop and maintain database documentation (data dictionaries, ER diagrams, or stored procedure definitions).
Technical guidance: work together with colleagues from other teams on performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery planning. Guide your colleagues on best practices in database design, build, maintenance and overall governance.
Project management: participate in database migrations and upgrades. Lead or contribute to IT projects implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
·Grow: stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Architect or related role.
Foreign languages: English – minimum B2 level.
Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing database solutions across multiple platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB etc.
Experience managing large databases, in a complex IT environment
Experience and knowledge with multiple relational and NoSQL database platforms is a strong plus.
In-depth knowledge of SQL language and proficiency in writing efficient queries.
Data modeling principles and normalization techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
