This role is responsible for coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with the business requirements. This individual will be expected to perform regular supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, this role will require to identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective and preventative actions. As a member of one or more cross-functional teams, the individual will require interface with Engineering Technical, Operations (Purchasing, Manufacturing, Rapid Response Team), Product Marketing and suppliers to mitigate risks throughout the product life cycle.

The role will require to:
· Collaborate with organisational partners, e.g., Engineering Technical, Operations (Purchasing, Manufacturing, Rapid Response Team), Product Marketing, on supplier selection and surveillance. Supporting commodity management to improve supplier base and management of approved supplier lists. Track and qualify or disqualify suppliers according to organisation’s standards.
· Visit supplier facilities and observe the manufacturing environment to review and assess the effectiveness of their systems, processes and procedures to ensure quality and regulatory requirements are met, including effective follow up and close out of audit report findings. Ensure product compliance with all environmental directives, including but not limited to REACH, RoHS, WEEE, POP, etc.
· Manage supplier corrective actions requests (SCAR) with suppliers, throughout effective root cause programme, such as 8D or corrective action – preventive action (CAPA) approach. Support the supplier charge back process, if required.
· Report, monitor and improve supplier quality performance to ensure continuous compliance with the company and applicable standards, and supplied parts and materials meet safety, quality, cost and delivery requirements.
· Govern supplier management and control processes, such as quality reviews with key suppliers, supplier rating, supplier corrective and preventive actions.
· Support new product development and introduction (NPD & NPI) and changes, including managing the production part approval process (PPAP), conducting the process FMEA for manufactured, factored and outsourced product.
· Manage product inspection activities on incoming supplies and products from suppliers to check for defects and ensure quality. Management and set up of purchasing control plans (PCP) and inventory control plans (ICP) and incoming inspection criteria and sampling plans in ERP system (i.e. IFS).
· Strive to increase « right-first-time » performance and eliminate failures whilst maximising operational efficiency, reduce scrap and improve manufacturability, by providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers.
· Participate in cross functional teams to review and evaluate impact of proposed supplier changes.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who has proactive and professional approach, who is a good team worker and has flexible approach to change. The individual who is customer-focussed, punctual and demonstrates good attention to detail. Availability to travel internationally is essential.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Ø BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent
Ø Excellent English communication skills
Ø 5+ years supplier quality assurance experience, including quality systems, standards, metrics, and tool
Ø Excellent problem solving (8D), statistical analysis and quality assurance skills, such as PPAP
Ø ISO 9001 Lead or Internal Auditor
Ø Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001/TS 16949 Quality Management System Requirements
Ø Experience with manufacturing and production processes and engineering principles
Ø Commodity Knowledge: injection moulded components, plating, pressings, LED’s, sensors, switches, fuse holders, indicators
Ø Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workflow to meet established time frames and schedules
Ø Able to constructively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ø Proficient of software programs – Microsoft (MS) Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Minitab
Desirable:
Ø Completed Six Sigma programme
Ø Member of a Charted Quality Institute or equivalent
Ø Charted Engineer or Member of a relevant Engineering Institution or equivalent
