Overview of Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Design Manager to join National Pen. Reporting to the Global Head of Creative, the Sr. Design Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the design process for our Pens.com business, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery of creative assets

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design process for all creative assets across various channels including digital, social, email, and print
  • Lead a team of graphic design artists to ensure efficient and effective design processes, and that all work meets brand guidelines and business objectives
  • Collaborate with the creative project manager, digital and offline designers, and copywriters to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to design and asset delivery
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of assets
  • Ensure that all design processes are scalable and can accommodate future growth and expansion of the business
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality services
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in design, and apply this knowledge to improve our design processes and output

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a design management role, with a focus on digital and/or DTC brands
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of design specialists
  • Strong understanding of design processes, including print, digital, and social media
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and resources for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Experience working with global teams and understanding of cultural nuances with proficiency in English
  • Bachelor's degree in design management, advertising, or a related field
