We are currently looking for.: 

Production Planner

Main responsibilities: 

  1. Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.
  2. Schedule the supply of components to meet production requirements.

  3. Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.
  4. Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.
  5. Coordinating with the production planner regarding production requirement, timelines, etc.
  6. Generate and communicate supplier material delivery planning and forecasts to ensure they reflect requirements and meet demands.
  7. Managing inventory issues, planning changes, and cancellations.
  8. Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production planning and take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
  9. Highlight potential raw materials shortfalls to Production Planner and work out contingency plan to meet all production schedules.
  10. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to plant.
  11. Review raw materials safety stock setting to maintain at an optimum inventory level to achieve, avoid stock out and minimize slow moving and obsolescence.
  12. Minimize obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability.
  13. Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance in conjunction with members of the purchasing team.
  14. Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
  15. Create, maintain and release master data in SAP.
  16. Performs other related duties, as required.

Requirements and skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Inventory Management, Logistics or a related field preferred
  • 4 years of experience in production planning, inventory management, or a related position.
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools and ERP systems (in particular SAP).
  • Ability to manage time effectively. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Good organizational skills. 
  • Ability to solve complex problems. 
  • Should work in a team as well as independently. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
