About the team:

The team is responsible for the operations of a secure and highly available infrastructure platforms for several FIS line of businesses. The team maintains the reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure, this includes monitoring the operating environments, implementing necessary upgrades, managing incidents and problems and maintaining a secure systems environment.

What you will be doing:

As part the team, you will work across all functional areas that belong to businesses’ scope. You will use your communication and service-oriented skills to collaborate efficiently with Corporate teams and stockholders. Also, you will use and share your expertise/knowledge with the team members within a collaborative and dynamic environment and work with other technical teams and vendors to provide a professional IT service.

You will be requested to:

 

  • Installs, maintains and upgrades internal servers and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
  • Controls user access and passwords.
  • Proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of system.
  • Monitors usage and performance.
  • Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues.
  • Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.
  • Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products.
  • Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment.
  • Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring:

  • Knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware.
  • Knowledge of Backup tools /strategies, storage management, TCP/IP, network monitoring and tools and technical writing principles and practices.
  • Good knowledge of the virtualized environments.
  • Good skills in Linux systems and experience of handling Linux based infrastructure.
  • Effective analytical, problem solving, installation and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Skills in troubleshooting network issues and use of diagnostic tools.
  • IT Service Management knowledge (ITIL v3/v4).
