Job Role Description: Production Engineer
Summary of main purpose of Division/Department:
Make the production process as efficient as possible using principles of engineering, technology, manufacturing and management science.
Act closely and permanently in consultation with Quality and Engineering Department In all overlap tasks.

Support Actively and contribute to successful transfer of new projects
Support production organization to achieve high and sustainable efficiency performance,
Support the production organization to deliver high quality to the customers and reduce scrap rates to the minimum.
Continuous improvement of the process capabilities
Contribute to the capitalization of the Best Practices and Lesson Learned
Manage the tooling cycle life since implementation.
Essential requirements of skills, experience, physical requirements etc.:
University level: education in electronics/industrial/ electrical/mechanical/engineering
Professional experience – minimum 5 years
The ability to resolve problems in an efficient manner
The capacity to communicate and present data clearly and effectively
A complete understanding of manufacturing processes
Excellent leadership skills and a desire to work in a team environment
Successful application of health and safety practices
Good knowledge of Lean tools (5S+1, Kaizen, production line balancing, Muda hunting, VSM,…)
Creative person
Good Organizational skills,
Very good analytical skills.
Good knowledge of Quality tools
Good written and spoken English
Computer knowledge (MS Office, Auto Cad, SAP)
Main tasks, duties, authorization limits and deputy functions:
Intensively support the production employees during the SOP and ramp-up phase.
Define and regularly improve the material and information flows
Ensure implementation of ergonomic workstations
Reduce the non-added value tasks inside the different material and information flows to the strict minimum
Establish production standards and work instruction in order to achieve the routing times and a high quality and delivery performance
Improve processes without major changes unless validated by division engineering
In collaboration with different departments (maintenance, production, quality,…), define and implement strong, capable and reliable processes (Poka Yoke for example)
Act proactively in root cause analysis of quality issues and put processes under control to deliver perfect quality.
Can replace the Production Unit Manager in case of absence /holiday
Collaborate with different departments (maintenance, production, quality,…) to implement adequate solutions
Perform monthly reports of the department activities
Contribute to unsure Initial samples right first time
Strongly support the implementation of H+S Lean production system in the production unit.
