Who we’re looking for:
We are urgently hiring a DBA engineer who has a deep understanding of SQLserver, Oracle, MS SQL, NoSQL, Postgress Technology and hands-on technical experience to remotely maintain daily operation tasks in Telecom domain.
The role will be required to support remotely during KSA Business Hours and On-call.
What you’ll do:
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, patching & apply hot fixes/ Security patching and monitoring database systems in order to ensure high performance/availability and capacity in an efficient and effective way within business operational requirements.
- Handling regular DB operation tasks like register new users and manage users/ roles/ rights/ privileges/ logins/ Profiles/ DB links/ Schema/ Table Spaces.
- Second level support to perform, and maintenance large infrastructure for Incidents/ Change Requests in an Enterprise production and non-production environment.
- Minimize database downtime, and manage parameters to speed up query responses.
- Provide day-to-day support for multiple versions of databases and carry out incidents generated by our customer’s environments, and ensure the highest level of customer services to meet prescribed SLA.
- Respond to incidents received by phone calls, emails, instant messages, or automated ticketing system to be contactable as ownership for supporting P1 | P2 incidents anytime, report and escalate to the next L3 Support those complex DB issues which difficult to fix it, and keep following up until closure.
- Proactively detect problems and conduct diagnostics to deliver quality service and infrastructure operations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.
- Monitoring, performance and periodic DB health check-up, Periodic DB Growth and DB capacity monitoring.
- Fine-tuning of databases, and keep environments in line with company standards, including health checks, Problem investigation in error logs, Fix PROD issues, Fault reporting, Fault recreation in Staging Environment.
- Conducts the definition, documentation, analysis and testing of application & systems enhancements, and provide support to during the cutover of the services.
- Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects, and work on root cause analysis during major problems and outages.
- Continuously identify and document Database documentation, lessons learnt, known errors, RCA, preventive actions, and operational knowledge for improved services.
- Provide DB performance statistics when requested and support management in reporting.
- Report to manager weekly challenges and achievement.
- Involve in DR exercise planning and testing.
- Take part in vulnerability assessment calls as a DB Engineering SME.
- Conduct database capacity planning to ensure that it does not fall below performance levels in the future and tune and optimize database systems and perform periodical health checks for optimal functionality.
- Focusing enhancement, improvement of DB performance, availability and security while optimizing resources and cost.
- Maintaining company Database Systems in terms of security, availability and business continuity.
- Interacts with applications team if required to enhance the performance and achieve accepted service level.
Exigences de l'emploi
What you’ll need:
- Min 5+ years of DB Operations experience.
- Primary Skill -database administration for SQLserver, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MYSQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, PostgreSQL 8.4, 9.x, Sybase, Cassandra, etc).
- Experience in upgrade /migrate and /support Oracle DB RAC and EXADATA.
- Strong experience and administration in Oracle DBA 11g/12c/18c/19c RAC database / RDBMS/ Oracle Data Guard / ASM lib/instances in oracle/ RAC DB/ Grid Control Management/ Golden Gate Replication, Administration and Monitoring tools.
- Familiar with virtualization technologies such Nutanix and VMWARE, etc.
- OEM/OMS administration and monitoring Tools Configuration and management.
- Strong knowledge of PowerShell, PL/SQL, Scripting, triggers, partitioning, stored procedures, DB performance tuning, third party tools, and solid understanding of query execution plans.
- Conversant with web/ JAVA application server (Oracle WebLogic administration).
- Having demonstrable experience with DB Administration for performance improvement practices and also Security hardening controls.
- Knowledge of different types of database structure and servers, and discover and solve database problems and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of analysing data capacity and performance requirement.
- Familiar with operational processes: OS level patching / Refresh DB/ Clone/ Migrate/ Upgrade/ Operational housekeeping & archival/ High Availability (HA)/ Disaster Recovery (DR), failover/ backup& restores/ recovery models, and Database RMAN.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016 /2019 and UNIX/Linux/ RHEL 6/7 OS servers, including Active Directory / LDAP.
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology from an accredited institution.
- Certification OCA, OCP, Micrsoft SQL DB, etc is advantage.
