General Position Summary

we are looking for an experienced Business development Manager who can work closely with FMCG’s , Wholesalers and  retailers.  The successful candidate should have and understanding of  B2B market place..

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with B2B Area to provide input on Sales toolkits and portfolio menu and customize strategy of FMCG’s and wholesalers onboarding
  • Acquisition of new FMCG’s accounts
  • Define and negotiating pricing strategy to be executed with different partners
  • Compliance monitoring on commercial terms
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners’ needs and goals
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • The BDM is accountable for delivering the P&L for the given partner portfolio across GBUs and across markets.
  • Conduct business review with FMCG’s, collects data and analyses it and share it internally with the team for necessary actions
  • Define distribution network for relevant market/partners
  • Management of multiple, potentially conflicting, customer relationships
  • Develop and execute strategies to secure business in all targeted retailer channels and retailers
  • Have a complete understanding of your customer’s strategy, retailers, needs and requirements
  • Produce business and sell presentations, internally and externally, which are impactful and concise
  • Have a detailed understanding and demonstrate strong grip and control of P&L within all areas of responsibility
  • Provide a detailed assessment of performance, ops and risks within account responsibilities
  • Keep a complete and up to date contact sheet within all accounts
  • Demonstrate a high level of rigour in all aspects of internal & external administration.
  • Engaging and unlocking new business with targeted frozen & chilled buyers FMCG’s and wholesalers across multiple sales channels
  • Gaining traction and support with key customers with limited category data and marketing investment
  • Operate with a high level of enthusiasm, creativity and effectiveness in all aspects of the role
  • Consistently demonstrate resilience, tenacity and positivity
  • Deliver turnover and profit of nominated customers
  • Be a team member who supports the total business goals
  • Be an effective team player building good working relationships with all internal departments
  • Develop a strong working relationship with Business analysts
  • Consult with other functions internally (Country Development Managers, Supply Chain, Finance) as well as externally as necessary to gain information and insights, as well as achieve results that are aligned with company and functional objectives.

Competencies, Knowledge and Experience

Undergraduate degree with minimum 7 years’ experience in a Retail Merchandising & Sales Processing

BS degree in Marketing or related field is preferred but a degree in the following subjects can be accepted:

  • accountancy and finance
  • business or management
  • economics
  • retail management.
