About the Senior Webmaster Role
Web Hosting Canada (WHC) is seeking an experienced webmaster to help new and existing clients with their website projects. You will be responsible for your own projects within the Customer Experience team and will be billing clients for work completed.
How you will make an impact
- You will be maintaining and expanding/enhancing clients’ websites.
- You will be using your well developed business acumen to identify opportunities and prepare detailed quotes
- You will be fixing website bugs or implementing new features
- You will coordinate your efforts with the Customer Service team and other technical talent (both in-house and external) to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
Who You Are
- You’re a skilled web developer familiar with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and HTML
- You are very familiar with WordPress and have built websites using it
- You understand website design and visual aesthetics
- You can effectively discuss website needs with potential clients
- You are able to translate client needs into estimated development effort
- You appreciate the fast development pace of Agile Methodology within a small, skilled team
- You are driven and love to take initiative
- You have natural entrepreneurial skills and know how to sell projects and ideas
- You will are motivated by meeting and exceeding your goals
- You have a passion for customer satisfaction

Exigences de l'emploi
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with PHP web development
- 5+ years experience working with JavaScript and jQuery
- 5+ years experience working with MySQL
- Experience developing on WordPress CMS (including plugins/themes)
- Knowledge of the hosting industry, including cPanel control panel and WHMCS a definite asset
- Having completed a minimum of 3-year University level degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in either English or French
