We are currently looking for a Localization Specialist, passionate by translations and message clarity, who aims to offer the most clear and comprehensive experience to our customers.
Exigences de l'emploi
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position, preferably in a software company
- Excellent command of English and French languages, especially in writing. Additional languages are a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics, Business, or equivalent experience
- Solid in-depth knowledge of localization
- Proficiency in translation memory tools (Trados)
- Good command of Excel
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
- Meticulous, organized, and very attentive to details
- Analytical, pro-active, problem solving, positive attitude
Key responsibilities:
- Manage labels localization projects from beginning to end, working closely with translation agencies, internal product management and internal development teams to deliver the projects within set deadlines.
- Verify how translated labels look into the application and adjust the translation if necessary, to best fit the context. This will require acquiring a good functional understanding of the application and continuous testing and understanding of the new features.
- Maintain the application labels knowledge base (list of all labels in the app)
- Manage the interactions between our translation agencies and our financial department making sure all purchase orders are paid on time to our collaborators
- Translate or facilitate the translation of internal documents when needed
- Verify from linguistic point of view various guides and manuals and propose linguistic enhancements
- Create periodical reports related to localization work when needed.
- Escalates issues to supervisor when needed.
