Description de l'emploi
The Maintenance Engineer role is to ensure the Press and CNC shop machinery is able to meet the demands of production to support the sites internal and external customers.
Exigences de l'emploi
Duties Include:
- Maintenance of machines including press and CNC equipment
- To maintain and police factory planned and preventative maintenance
- PLC programming for press controls
- Modification of machinery including Presses to enhance production levels and identify faults i.e. silver detection, etc
- Welding Gas, Arc, TIG and MIG for fabricating chutes, guarding etc for machines
- Organisation of contractors for larger or specialised jobs
- Electrical installation and repairs including testing and inspection. Single and three phase
- Support with the strip down and reassembly of flywheels when required
- Create and maintain all PUWER risk assessments for press and CNC machines
- Any other reasonable request
Health & Safety:
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in your working area.
- Ensure all guarding and safety equipment is in place and used when needed.
- Personal protective equipment to be worn when required including safety glasses, steel toe cap boots etc
- Report all health and safety or maintenance issues
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Hold a power press regulations certificate
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Methodical approach and able to prioritise workload
- Excellent communication skills
- Motivated individual who is flexible and willing to learn continuous best practice
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and positive attitude
- Excellent organisational, time management and attention to detail skills
- Comfortable in being able work alone and/or within a team environment, contributing and sharing best practices, resources and ideas in order to continually improve
- Have the ability to work to set standards and procedures
