The ICRC Delegation in Libya – temporarily located in Tunis – seeks to fill the following position:

Staff Health Administration Officer

The position is based in Tunis

 

The Staff Health Admin Officer position will be the focal point for facilitating travel related polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests among ICRC staff traveling to and from Libya and other destinations.

 

MAIN TASKS

 

  • Administratively organizing and scheduling PCR tests
  • Liaison with other ICRC departments to facilitate testing related to travel
  • Focal point for questions related to testing process
  • Keep accurate records
  • Anticipate and problem solve issues as they come up
  • Promote good practice around infection prevention and control measures
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned

Exigences de l'emploi

REQUIRED PROFILE

 

A successful candidate will:

  • Qualification in administration, health, or health related field
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in an administrative health function, experience working in clinical area or with NGO an advantage, with good references
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken Arabic, French and English including knowledge of medical technical terminology
  • Good knowledge of standard computer tools (MS Office) Skilled in the following competencies: Adapting & Learning, Team Work, Planning, Organization & Assessment; Communication and Networking
  • Experience with managing databases and record keeping
  • Experience communicating effectively within a multicultural environment

As an asset, the successful candidate may also:

  • Demonstrate an ability to problem solve, work under pressure and communicate clearly to ensure testing is carried out on time and at the right locations.
  • Provide good clear communication around the testing process
  • Demonstrate competence in written and spoken English, French, and Arabic.
  • Have competent skill set in computer use, including, Word, Excel, etc
  • Demonstrate high levels of integrity and commitment to the ethos of the ICRC, including Code of Conduct for all employees
  • Prior work for an NGO or organization with a health focus desirable
  • Demonstrate empathy and respect for others
