Due to an exciting phase of growth we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our busy Engineering team.
Purpose of Role:
- Ensure the supplier quality approach by applying the appropriate methods and tools.
- Perform and manage improvement projects for products coming from different suppliers.
- Determine and ensure the application of the company standards to guarantee the conformity of the products received.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and qualify or disqualify suppliers according to the organization's standards.
- Visit supplier facilities and observe the manufacturing environment to review and assess the effectiveness of their systems, processes and procedures to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) with suppliers, throughout an effective root cause program, such as 8D or Corrective Action – Preventive Action Approach (CAPA).
- Report, monitor and improve supplier quality performance to ensure product compliance.
- Govern supplier management and control processes, such as – Performance of suppliers – Supplier corrective actions.
- Support the development and introduction of new products (NPD & NPI) and changes, including management of the production part approval process (PPAP), FMECA process for the product.
- Oversee product inspection activities of incoming supplies to verify defects and ensure quality.
- Eliminate failures by reducing scrap and improving manufacturability, providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to review and assess the impact of proposed supplier changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bac + 5 with a course in electro-mechanics, mechanics, industrial or similar .
- Minimum 3 years in an area of AQF (supplier quality assurance).
- Participatory approach, Project management .
- Basic HSE notions / basic fire-fighting notions .
- Microsoft (MS) Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Qualipro, Minitab, Cognidox .
- Perfect command of English – French (Read / write).
