Bank ABC is reinforcing its Information Technology Department with the recruitment of an IT Technical Services Officer.
As an IT Technical Services Officer, you’ll install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults, and solve technical and application problems.
Main Responsibilities:
1- Daily Monitoring:
– Monitor the availability of all IT technical infrastructure components.
– Monitors the health of the servers and network connectivity.
– Monitors the health of the servers, by ensuring:
1.Network connectivity
2. Disk space availability
3. CPU availability
4. RAM availability
– Monitors the data replication between production and backup servers to ensure High data availability for critical applications.
2- Backup:
– Backs up all the bank data and configuration as per the IT procedure.
– Ensures availability of backed data, by regular tapes restore testing.
– Ensures the respect of the backup procedure in terms of off-site storage.
3- Maintenance:
– Tests the Windows security patches and updates and deploys them on the live servers as per IT procedures.
– Updates the anti-virus signature files and engines on servers and workstations.
4- Disaster Recovery Centre:
– Monitors the data replication between Tunis HO and DR site to ensure data availability.
– Assists in leading the test for bank’s global Disaster Recovery Sites.
5- End-user Support:
– Actively participates to the end-user support.
– Controls the external consultant laptops that connect to the Bank’s network to ensure its protection.
6- Documentation:
– Ensures the availability and the update of the technical documentation (installation guides, troubleshooting guides…).
– Participates in the documentation update (software installation, user guide, troubleshooting guide…)
7- Others:
– Replaces IT Network Administrator during his absence.
– Replaces IT HelpDesk during his absence.
Job Requirements:
1- Education:
– Engineering/ Master’s Degree in Telecommunication & Network Systems or any relevant/ similar field.
2- Knowledge:
– Knowledge of the IT best practices.
– Good knowledge of Windows Server Environment.
– Good knowledge of Windows Desktop Environment.
– Good knowledge of Windows infrastructure (AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange).
– Good knowledge of Windows MS Services infrastructure (AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange).
– An in-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems.
– An in-depth knowledge of Information Security best practices.
– An in-depth knowledge of network design.
– A good knowledge of the security technologies (Firewall, VPN & IDS).
– A good knowledge of the security monitoring tools.
– A good knowledge of MS, Juniper and CISCO product lines.
3- Experience:
– 5 years experience in a similar role.
