Job purpose

Leads and coordinates accounting &Tax activities and operations such as accounts receivable & payable book entries, fixed assets accounting and financial statements preparation in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. 

Monitors and performs internal control activities over financial transactions and reporting in order to ensure financial information accuracy, reliability and integrity.

Job Accountabilities

Develops and implements account receivables policies, procedures and rules in order to enable accurate and timely revenue accounting.

Oversees accounting tasks related to the day to day AR processing such as bills, credit memo, payement receipt verification and posting  to ensure its accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Develops and implements account payable policies, procedures and rules in order to enable accurate and timely AP book entries.

Monitors suppliers invoices verification (three way matching) and posting accuracy according to predefined procedures and rules. Authorizes approved invoices for payment and follows up approval process for non-PO based invoices.

Develops and Implements fixed assets accounting policies, procedures and rules in order to ensure compliance with predefined rules and regulations.

Records fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system and calculates depreciation for all fixed assets.

Supervises fixed assets inventory and performs regular reconciliation of FA record with physical assets inventory

Develops  and implements closing and reporting procedures according to predefined charts of accounts. Coordinates external audit engagements.

Supervises monthly and/or yearly closing activities according to applicable standards and regulations.

Monitors banks accounts reconciliations ( Payroll, O2C, P2P, Sundry),etc , identifies & investigates differences and undertakes requiered actions to resolve according to defined procedures and applicable standards.

Oversees the processes of preparation of financial statements and tax return in compliance with local tax regulations.

Reviews financial situation results, prepares financial and tax disclosure.

Prepares, communicates and reviews Accounting & Tax KPI’s and defines accordingly continuous improvement plans of processes, procedures and systems to meet the Finance department and the Company’s objectives. 

Recruits and develops a high performing Accounting & Tax Team.

Complies with the Quality and EHS Systems requirements.

Exigences de l'emploi

Educational Background (or equivalent level)

Master’s degree in Finance/ Accounting  

Required Experience 3-5 years as Accounting & Tax Supervisor Position (Equivalent sized company)

Skills required to perform the job

Functional and Technical Competencies

Accounting & Tax procedures, Accounting standards (IFRS, Local Standard), Accounting & Tax regulations, Internal control, Analytical and problem solving skills, data analysis, Reporting skills, Risk Management.

Language and Software Skills

MS Office Softwares ( Excel, Words, PPT, ..), ERP finance applications. 

English is a must
