Overview of Role:
we are looking for a Graphic Artist, who is motivated, enthusiastic and looking for an opportunity to improve their experience in the area of high-resolution custom designs and image layouts, to join our diverse team.
What you will do:
- Prepare customer-supplied logo for production purposes by resizing logo, performing cleanup work in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator, and adding text.
- Communicate daily with sales personnel and other art teams on art requirements.
- Follow specific guidelines to keep artwork within printing guidelines.
- Prepare customer proofs in Illustrator or Photoshop and save necessary files to network.
- Rework artwork previously prepared by another artist that requires changes.
- Convert raster images to vector art using Adobe Illustrator.
- Create artwork from scratch and do any required composition to make it production ready.
- Create custom designs and layouts, as requested.
- Create various product templates, as needed.
- Troubleshoot artwork problems arising due to system issues, communication issues, or artwork issues.
- Access vendor websites to obtain high-resolution images and vendor templates.
- Other assignments, as directed by Global Graphics Manager and/or Graphics Team Lead.
Exigences de l'emploi
What we need from you:
- Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign is required. Working knowledge of Corel Draw is a plus.
- Previous experience in the printing industry, including pre-press work is a plus.
- To succeed in this role, strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills are essential.
- Selected candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- University degree in design but candidates with extensive, proven experience may be considered.
- Good level in English
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally.
- Proven ability to work on own initiative.
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
