Overview: As a Facility Engineer, you will be responsible, maintenance, and development of our facilities to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and functionality. You will play a crucial role in managing the physical infrastructure of our organization, encompassing buildings, utilities, equipment, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance and Repair: Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure all facilities are properly maintained and in optimal condition. This includes electrical systems, plumbing, and other critical infrastructure, sprinklered system.
2. Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
3. Energy Management: Develop and implement strategies to optimize energy usage and reduce operational costs. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and oversee the implementation of energy-saving initiatives.
4. Equipment Procurement and Management: Evaluate equipment needs and coordinate the procurement, installation, and maintenance of facility-related equipment. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced according to manufacturer guidelines.
5. Space Planning and Utilization: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and optimize the use of space within facilities. Coordinate office layouts, workspace configurations, and furniture arrangements to maximize efficiency and productivity.
6. Capital Projects: Manage capital improvement projects, including renovations, expansions, and upgrades to existing facilities. Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and oversee the execution of projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget.
7. Vendor Management: Identify and engage external vendors and contractors for facility-related services, such as maintenance, repairs, and construction. Negotiate contracts, oversee vendor performance, and ensure that services meet quality standards.
8. Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential emergencies such as fires, natural disasters, or security incidents. Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure that staff are prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in facility management, engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information: This position may require occasional travel between facilities and participation in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate maintenance activities or urgent repair needs. The Facility Engineer will report to the Director of Facilities or another designated supervisor within the organization.
